Why Blog

I’ve never been very keen on blogs. I like fiction and, frankly, fiction is not really the best style of writing for the blog format. However, the more I l read about the digital age, the more practical it seems to be to have a home-base for thoughts and musings on a topic.

I am an author, by trade. All that I really want to do is sit in a tower somewhere and write fiction. If I could have my meals brought to me along with an endless supply of books and paper on which to fashion my prose, I’m convinced that I could live quite happily as a hermit. I didn’t choose to be a writer because it makes all kinds of money.

It really doesn’t.

This is why being a hermit is not a practical ambition.

That being the case, I have committed to create this author blog about all of my current, past and future projects. Now, I do not make this blog as an act of pride; as if the world would be darker without my writings. The world will turn whether I write or not.

However, on the path to become a better writer, I find that it is best to expel some of the thoughts that I have onto a public forum. Let this blog act as something of my personal journal as well as a means of promotion, because, unfortunately, in this world, that is necessary.

So, if you love fiction and value the storytelling art as one of the most valuable of the humanities, then saddle up.

Until next time,

Cheers
